Sell on Odisha Vastram

You focus on the craft. We run the marketplace.

Odisha Vastram is a controlled marketplace: sellers own their products, inventory, packaging and dispatch — the platform owns customers, payments, logistics, support and compliance. That division of labour is what makes online selling realistic for a weaver in Bargarh or a society in Pipili, not just for big brands.

Free registration · No listing fees · No monthly charges · Platform fee only when you sell

Who can sell

Built for every kind of maker

From a single loom to a producer organisation with hundreds of members — onboarding adapts to your entity type and asks only for what the law actually requires of you.

Individual artisans & weavers

You craft with your own hands — sarees, fabrics, paintings, metalwork, terracotta. A PAN is enough to begin; GST is optional below the statutory turnover threshold.

Co-operative societies, SHGs & FPOs

Registered societies, Self-Help Groups, Farmer Producer Organisations, trusts and Section 8 companies onboard as the seller entity, with the authorised office bearer signing on behalf of members.

Proprietors & small brands

Shops, boutiques and label owners selling genuine handcrafted products. Udyam-registered MSMEs receive a Verified MSME Seller badge.

Manufacturers & firms

Partnership firms, LLPs and companies producing handloom, handicraft, home décor and artisan lifestyle products at scale.

Clear boundaries

What you handle, and what we handle

No vague promises — this is the actual division of responsibility, the same one written into the seller agreement.

You handle

  • Your products, designs and craftsmanship
  • Your inventory and stock accuracy
  • Packaging to platform standards
  • A short packaging video for every order (PVV)
  • Handing over parcels to the pickup courier

We handle

  • The storefront, marketing and customer acquisition
  • Pricing display, checkout and payment collection
  • Courier selection, pickup and delivery (with free-delivery promise to customers)
  • Customer support, returns and dispute decisions
  • GST invoicing, tax compliance and seller settlements
The seller journey

Six honest steps from interest to income

  1. 1

    Register

    A few minutes

Share your name, phone, email and what you make. This is an expression of interest — no documents needed yet.

  2. 2

    Meet your Relationship Manager

    Within a few days

A named RM contacts you, explains everything in Odia, Hindi or English, and stays with you through every step. If you go quiet, they follow up — by WhatsApp and by phone.

  3. 3

    Complete verification

    Guided, at your pace

Identity (PAN), business registration as applicable, GST if you have it, and your bank account (verified by a small penny-drop credit). Every document is checked by both automated verification and a human reviewer, typically within 24 hours of submission.

  4. 4

    Accept the seller agreement

    Transparent, in writing

You review and electronically sign the Marketplace Vendor Agreement and our seller policies — the platform fee, payment cycle, returns and responsibilities — everything is in writing before you commit.

  5. 5

    List your first products

    With hands-on help

Photography and description guidelines per craft category, plus listing assistance from your RM. Every listing passes a quality check before going live.

  6. 6

    Sell, ship, get settled

    Regular cycle

Orders appear in your seller panel. You pack, record the packaging video, and hand over to the courier we send. Earnings reach your bank on a regular settlement cycle with a clear statement.

Payments, plainly

How and when you get paid

Most seller anxiety comes from money questions that platforms refuse to answer plainly. Here are ours, in plain language.

You sell. We manage the rest.

From the moment an order is placed, the platform manages payment collection, delivery and customer service. You prepare the product and hand it over — everything else is taken care of for you.

Straight to your bank

Your earnings are transferred directly to your own verified bank account through secure, RBI-regulated payment systems, on a regular settlement cycle, with a clear statement for every order.

A transparent platform fee

There are no registration, listing or monthly charges. A transparent platform fee applies only when you make a sale — and it is explained to you in writing during onboarding, before you sign anything.

The platform fee and settlement terms are set out in the Seller Terms and walked through with you during onboarding — see also the Seller Resources.

Honest answers

The doubts every seller has — answered

“I have never sold online. I'm not technical.”
You don't need to be. Your Relationship Manager walks you through onboarding personally, listing assistance is part of the service, and the seller panel is designed for first-time online sellers. If you can use WhatsApp, you can sell here.
“I don't have GST.”
If your annual turnover is below ₹40 lakh (the threshold for goods in most states), GST registration is optional and you can sell without it. The platform handles the tax collection (TCS) it is legally responsible for, and we will alert you well before you approach the threshold.
“I don't have professional photographs.”
We provide simple per-category photo guidelines (a phone camera and good daylight go a long way), and your RM reviews your first listings with you. Professional photography support is part of our seller-resources roadmap.
“What if a customer falsely claims I sent the wrong item?”
This is exactly why Packaging Video Verification exists. You record a short video of the product being packed for every order. If the video clearly shows the correct product, mismatch claims are rejected — the policy is written into the platform rules, not left to chance.
“I already sell through exhibitions and local channels.”
Keep them. Odisha Vastram is an additional channel that works all year round, not a replacement for what already works for you. There is no exclusivity requirement.
“What does it cost?”
Nothing upfront. No registration fee, no listing fee, no monthly subscription. The platform charges a fixed, disclosed platform fee on each sale — if you don't sell, you don't pay.

Register now. Onboard at your own pace.

Registering your interest costs nothing and commits you to nothing — it simply starts a conversation with a Relationship Manager who will answer every question before you decide.
