What we are building

A controlled marketplace, run with care

Most marketplaces leave sellers to fend for themselves. We are building the opposite: you focus on making, we run everything else — customers, payments, logistics, support and compliance.

You make. We manage.

Sellers own their products, inventory, packaging and dispatch. The platform owns the storefront, pricing governance, courier logistics, payment routing, settlements, customer support and taxation. Clear boundaries, no surprises.

Authenticity, verified

Every seller is verified — identity, business registration, GST where applicable, and bank account — before a single product goes live. Customers will know that what they buy is genuinely made by who we say made it.

Odisha first, not Odisha only

We begin with the handlooms and crafts of Odisha — Sambalpuri ikat, Pattachitra, Dhokra and more — and will grow into a wider home for authentic artisan and lifestyle products from creators who deserve a bigger stage.

Why we exist

The problems sellers actually face — and what we do about them

We did not design this platform in a boardroom. Every system below answers a real problem that weavers, artisans, societies and small brands deal with today.

Limited market reach

Most weavers and artisans can only sell through local haats, seasonal exhibitions or wholesalers — their work never reaches buyers outside their district.

A professionally managed online marketplace puts your products in front of customers across India, without you having to run a website or learn digital marketing.

Middlemen control the price

Layers of intermediaries decide what your work is worth and keep the margin, while you never learn who actually bought your product or why.

You set your own selling price within transparent pricing rules. The platform fee is fixed and disclosed upfront — there are no hidden cuts.

Payments arrive late, or never

Traditional channels routinely hold payments for months. Many sellers have stories of dues that were simply never settled.

Payments are handled by secure, RBI-regulated payment systems and reach your own verified bank account directly, on a regular settlement cycle, with a clear statement for every order.

Online selling feels too technical

Cataloguing, listings, courier rules, GST questions — most marketplaces expect you to figure all of it out alone.

A dedicated Relationship Manager guides you through onboarding in Odia, Hindi or English, and the platform handles customers, logistics, payments and compliance.

False claims and returns abuse

Sellers on big marketplaces lose money to fraudulent "wrong item" and "damaged" claims they cannot disprove.

Our Packaging Video Verification (PVV) system records what you packed before it ships. If the video shows the right product, false mismatch claims are rejected. Evidence protects you.

No one to talk to when things go wrong

Faceless ticket queues and bot replies are the norm. Small sellers rarely get a human answer.

Your Relationship Manager is a named person with a phone number, reachable Monday–Saturday — your first point of contact for any issue, with a clear escalation path above them.

    Tell us who you are — individual artisan, weaver society, SHG, manufacturer or brand. Registration is free and takes a few minutes.

    Verify with your RM

    A dedicated Relationship Manager helps you complete document verification and onboarding, step by step, in your preferred language.

  3. 03

    List your products

    You photograph and describe your products with our guidelines and listing assistance. Every listing is quality-checked before it goes live.

  4. 04

    Sell and get paid, on time

    We handle customers, payments and delivery. Your earnings reach your bank account on a regular settlement cycle with a clear statement.

Odisha Vastram is a unit of BYSP INTERNET SERVICES LLP — a registered Indian LLP recognised under the Startup India and Startup Odisha programmes. We publish our registrations, name our grievance officer, and put our seller terms and return rules in writing before asking anyone to sell with us.

  • Your money is never in our hands. Customer payments are processed by RBI-regulated payment systems and settled directly to your own verified bank account.
  • Evidence beats arguments. Packaging Video Verification records every shipment before it leaves a seller, so disputes are settled on proof, not on whoever shouts loudest.
  • A named human is accountable. Every seller gets a dedicated Relationship Manager, and the platform has a named Grievance Officer reachable by every customer and seller.

Asked by sellers like you

Is there a fee to register as a seller?
No. Registration and onboarding are free. There are no listing fees and no monthly charges — the platform earns a transparent platform fee only when you make a sale.
I don't have GST. Can I still sell?
Yes, in many cases. If your annual turnover is below the GST registration threshold (₹40 lakh for goods in most states), you can sell without GST registration. Our onboarding team will confirm what applies to you and which documents you need.
I'm not comfortable with technology. Who will help me?
Every seller is assigned a dedicated Relationship Manager — a named person who speaks Odia, Hindi or English, helps you finish onboarding, assists with your first product listings, and remains your point of contact afterwards.
Can a weaver society or SHG register, not just individuals?
Absolutely. Co-operative societies, Self-Help Groups, Farmer Producer Organisations, trusts and Section 8 companies are all supported with a dedicated onboarding path. The society registers as the seller and its authorised office bearer signs on its behalf.
